Job Summary

The Hospital of God at Greatham is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Care Assistants at Stichell House. This modern residential care home, located in the beautiful Greatham estate, provides a high standard of care to our residents. We offer part-time positions on a rota basis, with a minimum of 23 hours per week.

As a Care Assistant, your role will be essential in delivering person-centred care to support the health, wellbeing, and independence of our residents. You will help create an environment where they can enjoy autonomy, make choices, and feel empowered in their everyday lives.

Stichell House is a modern, purpose-built residential care home located in the scenic Greatham estate. With 35 en-suite bedrooms and landscaped grounds, we aim to provide our residents with not only the best care but also a comfortable and homely environment.

Our goal is to support the health and well-being of each individual, empowering them to maintain their independence and make choices about their daily lives. You will be a crucial part of the team, ensuring that each resident receives the personal care and attention they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality person-centred care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Assist residents with daily activities, including personal care, dressing, and mobility.
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Support residents in making decisions and retaining their autonomy wherever possible.
Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the care home.
Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other members of the care team.
Ensure all records and documentation are up to date and accurate.

Key Requirements:

Compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
Previous experience in a care setting is preferred, but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexible approach to working hours, including availability for shifts across weekdays and weekends (including Bank Holidays).
Minimum of 23 hours per week availability.
Ability to maintain professionalism and adhere to care standards.
