Warehouse Associate – Unskilled Entry Level

About the Role

WEG Electric Corp. is hiring a Warehouse Associate for our Ontario, CA location. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse.

Starting Rate: $21.00/hour

Primary Responsibilities:

• Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or bins based on size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Fulfill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets, shelves, or conveyors to packing stations or shipping.
• Label materials with identifying information.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers.
• Record quantities of materials or items received or distributed.
• Operate a forklift to transport stored items to the packaging area for shipment.
• Frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs. and push up to 25 lbs.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:

• No formal education required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Knowledge / Training:

• Proficiency in operating a sit-down/stand-up forklift with the ability to become certified.
• Understanding of order picking, receiving, and outbound product loading/unloading.
• Familiarity with racking, bulk storage, and cycle counting.
• General knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to use common hand tools.

Experience:

• No prior experience required; 6-12 months of related experience is preferred.
