Role Overview:
We are looking for a Staff Internal Auditor, Data Analytics Lead, to join our Internal Audit Department. You will report to the Senior Manager of Data Analytics and play a key role in building our data analytics function. This hands-on position offers a chance to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our audits.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop Data Analytics Routines: Create and maintain data analytics routines to support audit activities, including audit execution and reporting.
- Collaborate with Data Owners: Build relationships with key data owners to enhance our understanding of relevant data.
- Manage Data Storage: Help establish a centralized Datamart for confidential audit data.
- Analyze Risks and Controls: Use analytics to evaluate risks, controls, and audit effectiveness.
- Drive Data Strategy: Enhance the use of data analytics within the department.
- Identify Data Sources: Work with the leadership team to determine necessary data for audits.
- Implement Infrastructure: Set up systems for data extraction, storage, and processing.
- Automate Testing: Develop techniques for continuous auditing and analyze large datasets.
- Create Dashboards: Design dashboards for monitoring audit progress.
- Reporting: Produce reports to communicate audit findings and assist with Board reporting.
- Representation: Participate in committees and special projects as needed.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in audit, with at least 2 years in data analysis or statistical modeling.
- Analytics Tools: Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, Alteryx, Python, and R.
- Data Visualization: Experience with tools like Tableau.
- Audit Knowledge: Understanding of internal/external auditing standards.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in data analytics.
Nice to Haves:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Certifications: Relevant professional certifications in auditing or data science.
