Summary
We are seeking a fully baptized Sikh Kirtan Jatha (1 lead and 2 supporting members) to assist in the activities of our Sikh Gurdwara in the UK. This role involves conducting religious services, specifically performing non-pastoral duties, for up to 2 years.
The skilled Kirtan Jatha members will perform religious duties, including singing Gurbani and playing musical instruments such as Tabla and Harmonium, in alignment with their roles in the congregation in the UK and possibly overseas. They will not lead the congregation or engage in pastoral duties.
Each member of the Kirtan Jatha will receive compensation and benefits equal to those of permanent workers in similar roles.
According to Sikh tradition, the Gurdwara will cover living and food expenses for all three members of the Kirtan Jatha for the duration of their tenure (and visa, if applicable).
