About the Role:
We are seeking a Tax Assistant Manager to join our client’s Asset Finance & Leasing Tax group in London. This team advises a wide range of institutions, including banks, manufacturers, financial institutions, private equity firms, and rolling stock leasing companies. As part of the team, you will oversee compliance and provide tax advisory services, focusing on structuring and debt-based tax advice. Additionally, you will spot opportunities in areas like tax risk, tax technology, and tax compliance.
This role also involves working on pre and post-deal advisory work, with opportunities to get involved in the deals themselves, making it an exciting and dynamic position.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee compliance and provide tax advisory services.
Provide structuring and debt-based tax advice to a variety of institutions.
Work on pre and post-deal tax advisory services.
Collaborate with teams within the firm to identify tax risk opportunities.
Contribute to tax technology and tax compliance initiatives.
Ideal Candidate:
ACA or CTA qualification (or international equivalent), or relevant work experience.
Strong interest in the Asset Finance & Leasing, Credit, or Infrastructure sectors.
Motivated individual with a desire to build a long-term career in tax.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop yourself and others.
Confident with accounting concepts, ideally including tax accounting.
Both numerate and literate.
