Seasonal Farmworkers and Laborers, Crop with Visa Sponsorship

Job Description

Position: Full Time
Number of Workers Needed: 14

Job Duties:

Citrus Harvesting:

• Follow supervisor’s instructions for harvesting tasks
• Carry an 18-20 foot ladder and a picking sack (canvas bag with shoulder strap)
• Place ladder against trees and pick fruit without damaging the tree or other workers
• Put harvested fruit into the picking sack (which weighs 80-100 lbs when full)
• Empty full sacks into fruit tubs located in the grove

Grove Clean-up:

• Perform tasks such as pruning, painting trees, repairing or replacing irrigation equipment, removing debris, and general clean-up
• Work outside for up to 6 hours a day in all weather conditions
• Be able to carry heavy sacks and work quickly and skillfully

Additional Information:

• Voluntary overtime may be available but is not required
• Workers might experience periods with little or no work due to weather or crop conditions
• If taking a leave of absence, the hours will be deducted from the total offered hours under the contract
• A copy of the work contract will be provided when applying for a Visa or when starting work

Requirements:

• 1 month of experience in similar work
• High level of physical stamina and conditioning required
• Ability to work in hot or cold conditions, direct sunlight, and adverse weather

Work Details:

• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: 7:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
