Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse at Barchester Healthcare, you will take care of the physical, mental, and social needs of residents in our care homes. Main Job Duties
To become a Registered Nurse at Barchester, you will need to have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and be familiar with the latest clinical practices. You should have experience in creating detailed care plans and risk assessments. You must also understand the rules and regulations that affect nursing, including the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLs), the Mental Capacity Act (MCA), and the Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. You should be dedicated, compassionate, and take a person-centered approach to nursing, always keeping the resident’s well-being at the heart of your care.

Job Description
As a Registered Nurse at a Barchester care home, you will care for residents by meeting their physical, emotional, and social needs. Your job will involve developing care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, giving medications safely, and providing high-quality nursing care.

You will work with a team to create a safe, supportive environment for residents with a wide range of physical and mental health challenges. You will also have the responsibility to make important clinical decisions based on your knowledge and experience. As a Registered Nurse (RGN), you will have the freedom to do what is best for your residents and be appreciated for the hard work you put in.

About You
To join the team as a Registered Nurse, you must have current NMC registration and knowledge of the latest clinical practices. You should be experienced in creating care plans and risk assessments and understand key legal frameworks, including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines. Most importantly, you should be compassionate and dedicated to providing thoughtful, person-centered care for each resident.

Person Specification
Qualifications Required:

  • Current NMC registration
  • Good understanding of modern clinical practices
  • Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required
