About the Role
Due to ongoing expansion, Engineering Applications seeks enthusiastic Maintenance Fitters at all levels interested in working across multiple sites in diverse industries. The ideal candidate should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Essential requirements include experience in fault finding, breakdowns, and preventative maintenance, prioritizing safety while managing tasks efficiently within specified timeframes. This role is suited for individuals seeking a long-term career with opportunities to transition into full-time employment.
Key Attributes:
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical)
- General safety induction white card
- Proven industry experience in routine and breakdown maintenance across various sectors
- Proficiency in machinery and equipment installation and commissioning
- Familiarity with site shutdown procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet client requirements
- Excellent communication abilities
- Availability for overtime and occasional weekend work as needed
Desirable Skills (but not essential):
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Forklift, EWP (Boom Lift) licenses
- Welding skills: GMAW, GTAW, MMAW
- Fabrication skills
- Manual machining and milling capabilities
- Working at Heights certification
- Confined Space training
- Dogging Ticket
- EWP Ticket
- Flexibility to attend breakdowns outside regular hours on a rotational basis
