Job Duties:

• Operate Loader: Operate a loader equipped with cable, hydraulic, or pneumatic-controlled grapples.
• Load Wood: Load tree-length wood, four-foot pulpwood, and logs onto trucks and trailers. Select wood by species and size for balanced and compact loads.
• Move Loader: Operate a truck to move the loader from one site to another.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform minor maintenance on the loader and truck, and make minor repairs and adjustments.
• Knowledge: Have a good understanding of mechanics and hydraulics.
• Environmental Compliance: Comply with landowner environmental regulations.
• Performance Requirement: Must be able to load two trucks per hour.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Yes, minimum of 6 months of referenced, paid production experience as a shovel loader operator (hydraulic crane).
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
• Health and Physical Condition: Must be in good health and physical condition.
• Work Conditions: Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions and remote areas.
• License: Must have a valid class “B” driver’s license and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.

Work Schedule:

• Hours per Week: 50
• Shift: 5:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

This position involves operating a log loader to load wood onto trucks and trailers, performing maintenance and minor repairs, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The job requires experience, physical fitness, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions. A valid class “B” driver’s license is essential.
