The Stanford Physics Department is looking for someone to fill a Lecturer position starting in Summer or Autumn of 2024. This is a full-time job with benefits, lasting for 2 years, with the chance to extend.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach introductory physics courses, possibly with another instructor.
  • Help redesign the introductory physics courses and labs, including course content and teaching methods.
  • Manage introductory physics courses, including mentoring teaching assistants and supporting new faculty.
  • Contribute to improving these courses over time and participate in department committees.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or similar qualification.
  • Experience in designing courses and teaching effectively.
  • Ability to work well with others on course improvements.

Salary:
