Base pay range: $15.00/year – $16.00/year

Duties

You will work as a hotel customer service agent. Your main job is to help guests at the front desk. You will:

  • Welcome guests
  • Help them check in and out
  • Handle reservations and room assignments
  • Take care of payments and provide room keys
  • Keep track of all charges and payments
  • Ensure any money you handle is safe

You will also:

  • Keep notes and logs of all activities
  • Report any problems to management
  • Use your judgment to solve guest complaints
  • Update logs and frequently asked questions
  • Inform your supervisor about serious issues

Other duties include:

  • Working at the front desk
  • Answering phones
  • Handling reservations
  • Storing luggage
  • Managing lost and found items
  • Making accountability reports
  • Helping with parking
  • Ensuring hotel security
  • Keeping the lobby and common areas clean
  • Providing help in medical and fire emergencies, sometimes being the main contact during such events

Requirements

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must pass all pre-employment checks and a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must use direct deposit for pay and have a Social Security Card.
  • This job is for U.S. citizens eligible under the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA). Residents with certain visas (like F2, F4) in Korea are NOT eligible.
  • Must complete a one-year probationary period.
  • Must work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must wear a uniform.
  • Must provide all required information by the closing date of the job announcement.
  • Must provide references: Two people not related to you who can speak about your qualifications and character.

Qualifications

Your resume must clearly show your qualifications. Government job applications must include the pay plan, series, grade, dates, and agency/department. Your experience must show you have performed duties similar to the next lower grade level.

You need to:

  • Work independently and perform the duties listed above with little or no supervision.
  • Have good customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to help others.
  • Communicate clearly in English, both speaking and writing.
  • Have basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, to prepare reports and give accurate change.
  • Be able to use office equipment and be comfortable with office software like Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Additional Information
