Job Duties:

Workers must be able, willing, and qualified to do the tasks described and be available for the whole employment period specified. The job involves general field work and harvesting pumpkins and gourds. Workers must be prepared to work in different weather conditions and spend long hours standing, bending, and walking.

Tasks include:

• Picking up pumpkins and placing them on a conveyor belt.
• Removing pumpkins from a conveyor belt and putting them in a truck or bin.
• Lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds.

The harvest lasts five to six weeks. Workers will not be required to work more hours than specified in the job order, or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays. The employer will provide all necessary tools and equipment for free. Workers must understand simple English directions.

  • Employer may conduct random drug tests at the employer’s expense, according to state law. Employees who refuse or fail the test will be fired immediately.
  • New employees must pass a background check, paid for by the employer, to ensure community safety. This check is done uniformly after a job offer is accepted.

Work Schedule: 8:30 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
