Control Room Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Control Room Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing operations within the control room to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of all systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sugar mill equipment from the DCS control room, coordinating with mechanical supervisors.
• Monitor and control plant operations to ensure stability and consistency.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on control room systems and equipment.
• Maintain detailed logs and records of all operations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and engineering teams for coordinated operations.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain quality parameters by ensuring accuracy in operations.

Qualifications:

• Full Grade 12 Certificate.
• Diploma or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of automation processes is preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• At least 1 year of prior experience in a similar role.
