Job Summary:
The Evergreen State College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach an algebra-based physics course sequence throughout the 2024-25 academic year, covering mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves and optics, and thermodynamics. This position includes lab instruction and offers flexibility in course delivery: fully in-person, fully online, or a hybrid model, to be decided with the successful candidate. Synchronous teaching sessions, if scheduled, will occur during late afternoon/evening or weekends. Job Expectations:
Faculty members typically write narrative evaluations for 25 students per quarter. They also provide guidance to students as they reflect on their learning journey, plan their academic paths, and define their areas of focus.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Physics or a closely related field
- Experience teaching at the college level
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Physics or a closely related field
- Experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds
